Say hello 👋 to Mr. Bumgarner, a third-grade teacher at Gulf Gate Elementary School!
Mr. Bumgarner is a Sarasota native who has taught at Gulf Gate for four years and is passionate about education. What would his superpower be? Well... "My superpower would be to have the ability to focus all students' eyes on the board with the sound of one word and keep their eyes glued for the duration of lessons! This superpower would be beneficial daily and produce incredible results for students and teachers!" 👀
We asked Mr. Bumgarner where in the world he would like to travel. He says, "I would go to Japan for a year to educate students. I would love to be fully immersed in a brand-new culture and be able to spread knowledge in a foreign land. I love Asian fusion food, meeting new people, and discovering new cultural landscapes and experiences."
He has two Goldendoodles puppies named Humphrey and Remy. They are brothers and best friends and are attached at the hip. Remy is chocolate-colored, and Humphrey is white and black and looks like a cow. 🐕 🍫 🐄
