Hello Gulf Gate Families! This is Principal Miller with today’s edition of Miller’s Minute. First, please remember that next week is SPRING break for students and staff and we will have no school. I hope you enjoy this time with your family!
Check out some important information below:
We are hoping to gather your opinion on possibly implementing a school uniform policy in the future as other elementary schools do. We are not looking to do this for next year, but possibly for the 26-27 school year. This would potentially look like jeans or khakis, polo shirts, and sneakers. Much of our staff shared their interest in this to increase student safety and consistency with shoes and clothing. What are your thoughts? Thank you so much for your support for the Kid's Heart Challenge. There are only 3 more days to complete Finn's challenge! Our goal is for every student and family to know Hands-Only CPR and the warning signs of a stroke by completing Finn’s Mission! We're already making a huge impact together! Thank you for being a lifesaver and sharing lifesaving skills with loved ones!
Just a friendly reminder that anytime you visit our campus you must bring your ID. It is needed to walk your child to class, volunteering, or for an event or dismissal. We realize it is an inconvenience, but it is necessary to ensure safety for your child.
Do you walk your child to class in the morning? If so, remember that once you present your ID and get your badge you must wait until the 8:15 bell to walk them to class. This allows our teachers time to make sure they are ready to welcome you and your child.
Looking ahead at the week we come back, we are excited for our first-grade concert on March 27 called “Baby Beluga.” Students should arrive at 5:30 wearing a blue or white shirt and jeans and the concert begins at 6pm. We hope to see you there!
