Happy New Year Gulf Gate Families! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break with your family, but we are back and working hard to finish the school year strong. If you don’t already know, this is Principal Miller with some important information about the life of Gulf Gate for you to note:
· This week we continue testing for grades K (Tuesday), 2 (Wednesday), and 1 (Thursday). Please be sure students are well rested and to school on time so they can be super successful.
· Huge shout out to everyone who attended the Annual Title I/STEAM Fair evening last week. If you missed it, please take some time to watch the video about Title 1 on our FB and website.
· Please note, there will be no school for students on Friday, January 17 (Professional Day for Teachers) or on Monday, January 20 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day – All staff and students are off). Please plan accordingly.
· On January 22 we will have class and club pictures taken.
· Save the Date: Do you, or someone you know, have an incoming Kindergarten student? On January 30 we will have a Meet and Greet for parents to learn more about what life as a kindergarten student looks like at Gulf Gate. This meeting will take place in the media center from 6:00-7:00 and is for parents (no childcare provided) to ask questions and learn about the benefits of choosing Gulf Gate as your child’s school. Please pass the word.
