Dear SMS families,
SMS does not officially open the gates for students to enter until 8:30 AM and does not officially
start school until 9:30 AM. We do not have anyone to supervise students until 8:30 AM as we do
not have before school care and only certain assigned staff for morning supervision.
Unfortunately, we have noticed a large number of students arriving before that time (some as early
as 7:00 AM) and sitting outside the gates without supervision. Please understand this is a potential
safety issue and we cannot be responsible if you drop off prior to our staff being present to
supervise. Please consider alternatives to ensure the safety of your child. Thank you for your
consideration.

to volunteer for our next popcorn day for on the day of the Panther Pounce, please sign up using
