Dear SMS family,
We have a few important reminders as we head into the coming weeks:
📸 School Pictures: School pictures arrived this week and will be distributed to students next week. Picture retakes are scheduled for November 13th.
⏰ Arrive on Time: Class instruction begins promptly at 9:30 AM. Please plan to arrive a little earlier to ensure your child has enough time to get to first period and be ready to learn on time.
👕 Dress Code & IDs: We continue to have concerns with dress code compliance. Students are required to wear their school ID every day, all day. Additionally, Nike Pro shorts and other volleyball-style shorts are not permitted at school. Please check your child's clothing before they leave home and help us avoid dress code issues during the school day.
📱 Cell Phones: Please talk with your child about the state law prohibiting cell phone use in middle schools and our school expectations regarding cell phones. Your support in reinforcing this expectation at home is greatly appreciated.

Bus transportation Information (register for a bus, reporting a issue with transportation, bus district contacts, parent tracking app, & general FAQ's) All transportation is addressed at the district level. Once you have registered for a bus - download the app to receive notifications of bus number/stop. Please be patient as this process can take up to/over a week. Deadline for guaranteed first week transportation is 7/27.
