Dear SMS families,
If your child walks or rides a bike in the afternoon and crosses at the crosswalk in front of Ashton school, please have a conversation with him or her about crossing with care. Students should always push the button to cross, stay within the cross walk, and be sure to make eye contact with the cars before crossing to make sure they are going to stop.
We had great representation at the district Stem Fair this week. Please read the full newsletter for a list of the winners.
Our Open Gate system will be installed next week. We will have a few classes practice walking through. Also starting next week on Thursday, we will no longer be using the gate in front of the gym to enter the school. Students will have to walk to the front of the school as depicted in the Open Gate map. Full implementation begins February 24, so please read the information attached in the full newsletter and reach out directly if you have questions.
Finally, we sent home Panther Pounce Fundraising letters yesterday. Please ask your child for your letter and please read further below for the link to register.
