The GSA provides safety and confidentiality to students who are struggling with their gender or sexual identity and those who are harassed because of it. We also provide a sense of community for LGBTQ and straight allies. We also aim to educate ourselves, faculty and staff, and students about sexual orientation and gender identity issues.

Interact is a service club sponsored by local Rotary clubs for students.  Interact club chooses and carries out service projects of their choice. The Interact club gives young people a chance to participate in meaningful and fun service projects and develop leadership skills. Interact members work together completing service projects that benefit schools and communities and expanding international understanding as well as standing by the Interact motto, Service Above Self.

To instill in high school students a value of citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment. Students may enroll in MJROTC for one or more semesters. MCJROTC is a channel for constructive and disciplined learning environments, a significant way that we provide contributions to the community and to the nation’s future, a team effort where students are enabled to learn, lead and win, fun, where students are loyal to each other and fiercely competitive, and where cadets play and learn to win.

The Republican club of Venice High School is a political club organized and directed by the students of Venice High School.  The club welcomes all students interested in learning about the Republican Party and the political process.  The meetings are social as well as informative and we often have speakers from the community.  Members of the club have the opportunity to attend political events, debates, Republican Party functions and dinners and political rallies. 

Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society

The purpose of this organization is to recognize academic achievement in the social studies discipline, to encourage a school-wide community of service, and to promote a positive culture within our educational setting at VHS. Requirements for membership: Currently have at least a 3.5 unweighted GPA with 2 full credits of Social Studies classes and have an overall 3.5 unweighted GPA.  There is a one-time dues requirement of $40 which covers the national membership dues, the certificate of induction, a Rho Kappa T-shirt, the graduation cords and the cost of the yearly induction ceremony.  There is a service requirement to be determined by the student officers along with the sponsor that will align with the mission. Students will be approved for membership based on the recommendations of the Selection Committee.

The VHS SGA is a republican government whose purpose shall be to provide a democratic forum in which students can address school-related and community-wide issues. SGA  provides  opportunities for leadership training in the duties and responsibilities of good citizenship.  VHS SGA also offers a year-long program of social functions and community involvement  projects for students.

This group will work together with the Venice Challenger Baseball Team. The goal is to raise awareness about the baseball team that adapts the game for anyone with physical or cognitive disabilities. The group will also work on fundraising money to help build a new baseball field that is handicap accessible.
