CONNECT ED MESSAGE (February 10, 2019)  Good evening Seniors and senior parents: This is APC, Shannon Fusco with an important message regarding the FAFSA for scholarships and a reminder of graduation information NPHS: Time is running out to complete your FAFSA application for FREE college money! There are millions of dollars of local scholarship funds available but you can't get most until your FAFSA is complete. We know the process can be intimidating so join the Education Foundation of Sarasota County and UnidosNow to get hands-on help completing your FAFSA application. The FAFSA workshop will be hosted in the TEL Lab on February 20th from 4:30-6:30pm. Seniors and families are invited! Visit Jenna Thiel in the Student Success Center or launchyourplan.com to learn more.

And now: Graduation information:

All seniors have received flyers regarding dates of senior events. More are available in guidance and administration. The senior BBQ is May 2nd at NPHS. All seniors are expected to attend this event to finalize receipt of caps and gowns, make sure any fees have been paid and receive cords and other awards for the ceremony. Graduation Practice is the morning of  Wednesday, May 15th. Any senior walking must attend practice. Tickets are given to students at this time only. All walking students will receive eight tickets. The baccalaureate service is Wednesday evening.

Graduation is Thursday, May 16th at NPHS. All guests must have a ticket. Rain plans will be communicated to students in the near future. NPHS thanks all of you for working together with us as we approach the culmination of many years of hard work for these young adults.

Florida Southwestern State College will be at the SSC on 2/15 @ 11:30AM, registration is available in Naviance.


Seniors, what is sweeter than FREE money?  Have you completed your FAFSA?  Have you not completed your FAFSA?  On Friday February 15th stop by the SSC to start the FSA ID or show proof you have already completed the FAFSA. Prizes will be drawn throughout the day, on every hour starting at 8:30AM.  What prizes can you win?  2 Tickets to Wonder Works in Orlando, Brunch bucks from First Watch, CineBistro Movie Pass, and more! We will be promoting FAFSA night round two on February 20th at 4:30PM in the Tel-Lab.


Seniors!  Vote for your class song via Blackboard.  Voting ends on February 15.  Do you want to speak or perform at graduation?  Pick up a Graduation Audition form in 4-113.  Auditions will be afterschool on March 13 & 14 @ 2:30.  All applications are due to Mrs. Thomas in 4-113, on or before March 1.


Spring Sports teams (tennis, track, boys weightlifting, baseball, and softball) will take individual and group photos on Friday, February 15. Teams will be called down to the Gym throughout the morning. Photos can be ordered through Lifetouch with Picture Day Code FT108056X0, or using the order form available at the time of pictures. Check with your coach regarding dress code/uniforms for the photos.


The Marine Corps is reaching out to ALL educators and influencers, to invite them to participate in Boot Camp June 11-14. All travel, hotel and food is FREE and this experience can count toward your continuing education credits.  You will stay in Parris Island, SC to get a "Behind The Scenes" tour of Boot Camp. You will have the opportunity to participate, or spectate, events like shooting our weapons, obstacle course, meeting Drill instructors, etc. This is a great opportunity to see how these young men and women from your school undergo the transformation of becoming a Marine.  Please contact SSgt Mitchell at 941-650-5536 for further details and sign ups.
