
Rules on Enrollment
Admission to Kindergarten
Any child shall be eligible for admission to kindergarten if he/she has attained the age of 5 years on or before September 1 of the school year. Provided, however, a child who transfers from another state or country shall be admitted under the same age requirements as established in the state or country where he/she previously resided and attended for at least 20 school days. Before admitting a child to kindergarten, the principal shall require a complete online registration and the necessary documents listed for first-time students.
Admission to First Grade
For admission to first grade, a student shall be 6 years old on or before September 1 of the school year and shall satisfy one of the following requirements:
Previous enrollment and attendance in a Florida Public School;
Satisfactory completion of kindergarten requirements in a nonpublic school or;
Previous attendance in an out-of-state school in which he/she was admitted based on the age requirement established by the state of residency.
