The Sarasota County School Board recognizes and supports the ability for student-athletes to profit from the use of their own name, image, and likeness as allowable by Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) bylaws and School Board Policy. The School Board has adopted Policy 5.801 to inform student-athletes, coaches, and schools of the permitted and prohibited activities surrounding NIL.

 The District has also put together a list of NIL resources for student-athletes, families, coaches, and schools which contains information on a nationally recognized NIL training course, contracts, taxes, other FHSAA resources, and the FHSAA Nil Agreement Form.
