
Grievance Procedure
Students or applicants who feel that they have been treated unfairly, may appeal any policy, procedure or treatment by following the steps below.
Step 1:
Discuss the issue with the teacher or counselor involved.
Step 2:
If it is not resolved, discuss the issue with a Program Manager.
Step 3:
If it is not resolved to the student's satisfaction, the student can file a written appeal with the appropriate Assistant Director in their focus account HERE.
Step 4:
After the Assistant Director's review of all circumstances, and the issue is still not resolved to the student's satisfaction, the student may appeal the decision in writing to the Executive Director of Career, Technical, and Adult Education, and may request a hearing before a grievance committee appointed by the School District.
Step 5:
If the grievance cannot be resolved at the local level, the Suncoast Technical College accrediting agency may be contacted as follows:
