ESOL Programs
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program in Sarasota County Schools is dedicated to helping students who are learning English as a second language. Our program offers a range of academic, social, and cultural supports to ensure that these students can succeed both in their education and in their integration into the broader community. We recognize and celebrate the diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds of our students. Sarasota County Schools encourages all students to maintain their native cultures while gaining an understanding of U.S. culture and customs. This approach helps students feel valued and supported in their educational journey.
The ESOL program focuses on providing English Language Learners (ELLs) with the skills and resources they need to meet the rigorous state and local standards across all academic subjects. Our goal is to equip students with the tools they need to graduate from high school or earn their GED, ensuring they are fully prepared for success in higher education, the workforce, and beyond. Through individualized support, small group instruction, and tailored curriculum, the ESOL program in Sarasota County Schools strives to create an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive and succeed.
