Current SCS Employee Volunteer Process
SCSB Employees who want to volunteer for Sarasota County Schools, there is now a new, easier process starting the 2024-25 school year: Staff-members who are approved to volunteer will receive a volunteer badge. The expiration date will be determined based on your employee fingerprint monitoring schedule; therefore, it varies from person to person. This expiration date will be printed on the front of your badge, and you will receive it via PONY at your regular worksite/school location once you are approved/re-approved for volunteering. This new process will eliminate the need to reapply every year, and with the separate badge, our goal is to simplify volunteer check-in (and logging hours) at the school. Please complete the following 2 steps:(Must be ACTIVE employee, sub, coach wanting Level 2 Volunteer Status)

Enter your personal information, MAKE SURE TO USE YOUR PERSONAL E-MAIL ADDRESS, mark ‘yes’ for the question ‘Are you a current SCS Employee? Also, enter your A- number (if you have one). Choose the school location(s) you wish to volunteer at
o Select ONLY Level 2 (for Current SCS Employees only) on the Functions page
o You may choose an organization you are associated with, otherwise please choose N/A.
