Welcome to the Sarasota High School Circus Arts Magnet Program
The Circus Arts Magnet Program at Sarasota High School is a one-of-a-kind, four-year program that integrates science, fitness, and performing arts to develop students into well-rounded, disciplined individuals during the school day! Rooted in Sarasota’s rich circus history, this innovative program challenges students physically and mentally, preparing them for real-world opportunities. This program is unique to Sarasota High School, and the district allows school reassignment for program enrollment upon acceptance.
What We Offer
Comprehensive Training: Hands-on instruction in gymnastics, acrobatics, aerial arts, juggling, and more, focusing on skill development, physical conditioning, and safety.
Academic Integration: Students explore anatomy, nutrition, and movement science, gaining insight into macro- and micronutrients, proper warm-up techniques, and the mind-body connection.
Real-World Skills: Students create personalized workout logs and build resumes and portfolios using modern website creation and photo/video editing tools. Training extends to rigging, equipment maintenance, and creating tech forms used in professional productions.
Showcase Opportunities: Students put their skills into action with two showcases each year, highlighting their growth and creativity in front of an audience.

Our program prepares students for professional opportunities in circus arts and beyond. Highlights include:
Audition Videos: We guide students in creating polished, professional audition videos tailored for applications to prestigious circus organizations.
Resumes and Portfolios: Students develop clean, professional resumes and demo reels, equipping them with the tools to stand out in competitive industries.
Tech Forms: Gain experience creating technical forms required for professional performances, ensuring readiness for real-world productions.
