Location: Laurel Nokomis School can be easily accessed by I-75 at Exit 195.
Facilities: The school is situated on 58 acres and is comprised of 13 permanent buildings. Its state-of-the-art facility and cutting edge technology promotes high standards and innovation to prepare students for the changing, more global needs of the 21st Century.
The school design promotes a “team concept,” allowing students to travel from classroom to classroom with optimal supervision and safety. Student bathrooms are private and are contained within the team areas.
The buildings house state-of-the-art computer labs, a high-tech TV/video studio and a math/science lab for grades K-5. The campus is landscaped with native and flowering plants, many in gardens managed by the students. Four music rooms, three art rooms, a gymnasium, track, fitness course, weight room, playgrounds, television studio and foreign language lab allow for an emphasis on the arts, PE, languages and vocational/technical studies. The cafetorium provides a stage for flexibility of programming and dining. Self-contained services for gifted students are provided at each grade level, Kindergarten through grade eight.
