2024-2025 Student Uniform Policy

Mandatory

For ALL Students PreK—5th Grade

Shirt

Short or long-sleeved collared polo style shirts with or without logo.

Shirt Colors: Any SOLID color. These are available at local retailers or through the school Bookkeeper (Lamarque Logoed).

Shorts, Pants, Capris, Skirts, Skorts, Jumpers

Bottom Colors: Navy/Khaki/Black Bottoms should be mid-thigh to knee length.

Not Allowed: sweatpants, denim, pants with stripes/designs/or emblems, athletic (basketball style) shorts

Shoes

Sneakers or tennis shoes with laces or Velcro that covers the top of the foot.

Not Allowed: boots, sandals, flip-flops, heels, crocs, open-toed shoes, wheelie shoes, loafers, deck shoes, Sperries, HeyDudes

**Students wearing shoes other than sneakers or tennis shoes will NOT be able to participate in PE or recess activities.

Cold Weather Clothes

Jackets and sweatshirts—in solid colors (no designs/or emblems)—may be worn, but the uniform polo must be worn underneath.

During cold weather, girls may wear solid uniform-colored leggings with skirts, skorts, shorts, and jumpers. Leggings /stretch pants should not be worn as pants in isolation.

Friday (Last day of school week)— School Spirit Day

On this day students may choose to wear a school spirit shirt instead of a polo. Students must still wear uniform bottoms. School spirit shirts include any t-shirt that students have received or purchased from Lamarque.

Hair

Hair accessories, hair color and/or hair style should not distract from student learning.

Accessories

Caps, hats, hoods must be removed in school buildings during school hours.

Not Allowed: Bandanas; Makeup, multiple bangle or gel bracelets, large dangling or hoop earrings or other jewelry that could cause injury or disruption.

Picture Days

Fall Pictures: Uniform is required as this is for the yearbook.

Spring Pictures: May dress out of uniform but in full compliance with dress code expectations.

Enforcement

Students not in uniform will be given a clean uniform shirt and/or bottoms to borrow for the day. A notice will be sent home. 1st incident-Written Notice, 2nd incident-Call from Teacher/ Admin, 3rd incident-Referral

Scholarships

Applications for uniform assistance are available in the front office or by contacting Guidance.

Donations

Gently used uniform donations will be accepted in the front office. Please make sure they are free of rips and stains.

Uniform Exchange

Uniform exchanges are available throughout the entire school year. You can bring in clean uniforms to exchange or send your student to school with a bag of clean uniforms. Please ensure to include the uniform exchange form. The uniform exchange form is to be used to ensure you get the size and items you need. On the exchange form you will be able to select the size, number of items, and type of items you need in return. The exchange includes any color polo shirt (short or long sleeve) and uniform bottoms (black, navy blue, and tan).

To access the form, click on Resources on the school website. Then, click View all Documents. Go into the Parents & Students folder. Please print the form and return it to school.
