Jamie Lowicz, Principal
Welcome to Atwater Elementary School. I am glad that you chose to visit our website, and I am excited to tell you about our amazing school. Our approximately 840 students work every day to live out the tenets of our five overarching ideals. We expect each All-Star to be:
Hardworking, Empathetic, Active Learners, Respectful, Trustworthy
When our students demonstrate these five attributes, we recognize them for having H.E.A.R.T. In addition to our H.E.A.R.T. programs, we pride ourselves on our environmentally friendly features and practices. As a “green” school, we have a school-wide recycling program that challenges our students to recycle as much as possible, including plastics, cans, and paper products. We also have many conservation features incorporated into the design of our school including occupancy sensors in all of the rooms and corridors, low-VOC paint and construction materials, a highly efficient HVAC system, recycled aluminum, steel, and concrete, and a stormwater management systems that incorporate the use of retention ponds and recycled rainwater. We are very proud of our school and our certification from the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED Silver School.
If there is anything I can do to make your experience at Atwater better, I am just a phone call away. When you see me in the halls please stop me and introduce yourself. I am very excited to be a part of the Atwater All-Star family.
