Hello Tiger Families. Can you even believe this is our last full week of school? We have so much to celebrate, and we still have 7 more days! Let’s look at what’s to come:
Lost and Found items will be donated to Good Will after the end of the year (next week). Please remind your child to check the lost and found this week!
Are you interested in learning about Before/After Care for the 2025-2026 school year? The YMCA will have an informational night here tomorrow, Tuesday, May 20th , from 6:00-7:00pm in the cafeteria. Come and learn more about Before/After Care for next year.
We are getting ready to celebrate our 5th Graders!
The 5th Grade Celebration Glow Party is Thursday, May 22 from 6pm - 7:30pm in the cafeteria. This event is for current GGES 5th grade students only - no parents or siblings. Please RSVP your 5th grader by turning in the permission slip to your child's homeroom teacher. A $5 donation is encouraged to help cover party costs. Please note that this is NOT a formal event; students should wear clothes they can have fun and dance in. The color white, or bright colors, are recommended because they glow best!
Our 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony is Thursday, May 29 at 9 am. Information will go home soon so that you can pre-raptor and avoid the line on Promotion morning.
As you are shopping for these events, please be aware that school dress code applies. Straps should be school appropriate width (dollar bill width), dresses an appropriate length, and shoes they can walk up the stage steps in. Please guide your child in choosing clothing that is school approved and comfortable for these fun events.
Are you looking for a free academic and enrichment opportunity this summer? We only have 10 spots left for the Summer Learning Academy to be held at Phillippe Shores Elementary this summer. SLA is a free academic and enrichment program that focuses on Language Arts and math and is inquiry based with hands-on learning. The program is from 8:30am to 1:30pm June 4th through June 26th (no school on Friday, June 20th). Lunch and AM and PM bus transportation are provided as well. If you would like to register, please log onto the Focus Parent Portal and clink the link for Summer Learning Academy registration. Only 10 spots left, so act fast!

Wednesday, 5/28: Crazy Hair Day
Thursday, 5/29: Gulf Gate Spirit Day – wear your Tiger gear!

May 29th: All students’ last day of school!
