Hello Gulf Gate Families!
We have a busy and exciting week ahead, and I’m so glad to share several important updates and opportunities with you.
First, a huge thank you to our wonderful business partners who continue to support our school community: Longhorn Steakhouse of Gulf Gate, Dr. Freeman, Plaza Mexico, Jessup’s Major Appliances, Humblebee’s Pediatrics, PDQ, Chick-fil-A at Pelican Plaza, Culver’s, The Melting Pot, and Grillsmith. We are truly grateful for their generosity. The Gulf Gate Carnival is right around the corner! Please mark your calendars for Friday, February 6th, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. This is a fun, school-wide event for all of our Gulf Gate families. All proceeds go directly back to classrooms for enhancements and special projects. Be sure to ask your child’s teacher what they are hosting at this year’s carnival and look for pre-sale ticket information coming home this week.
Speaking of the carnival, we are also looking for parent and community volunteers. If you are interested in helping, please use the volunteer link included in the email version of this message.
A reminder for our third-grade families: the third-grade concert originally scheduled for January 29th has been rescheduled to April 2nd at 6:00 p.m.
Kona Ice is back on Wednesday, February 4th, for five dollars. Flyers will be coming home this week, or you can prepay now by visiting www.customer.kona-ice.com and entering the code K5774482103.
Here are our upcoming events for this week:
On Tuesday, January 27th, Tiger Tribe will meet at 6:00 p.m. in the media center.
On Thursday, January 29th, fifth grade will participate in the Fire Safety House visit from 9:00 to 11:00 in the bus loop.
On Friday, January 30th, we will have our Character Parade at 9:15 a.m. in the bus loop.
