Hello Gulf Gate Families!
It is hard to believe, but this is officially the LAST Monday of the 2025–2026 school year since we are off next Monday for Memorial Day! This is also the final Miller’s Minute for the 2025-2026 school year. This year absolutely flew by. While we are excited to welcome summer break, we are also a little sad to say goodbye to our Tigers for the summer months.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 19, is a BIG day for our 5th grade students as they take their FAST Science assessment — the final test of the school year! We are so proud of all the hard work our students have put in this year, and we cannot wait to see the growth you accomplish. Be sure students get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive ready to shine!
Speaking of our 5th graders, we are excited to celebrate them during two special upcoming events:
🎉 5th Grade Dance – Thursday, May 21 from 6:00–7:30 PM
🎓 5th Grade Promotion – Wednesday, May 27
We are so proud of all our 5th graders have accomplished during their elementary years and look forward to watching many of them continue to grow at Gulf Gate School in middle school. Please be sure to turn in all permission slips and reservations and carefully read the directions for both events.
Speaking of Middle School at Gulf Gate, we are excited to share that plans are quickly coming together for our incoming 6th graders! We are currently finalizing our bell schedule, staffing, and elective offerings to create an engaging and successful middle school experience for our students. Be on the lookout over the next couple of weeks for an email containing a link to a “Gulf Gate School – Middle School News” newsletter, where we will begin sharing important updates and information with families. We are incredibly excited to welcome our first 6th grade class next year and cannot wait to begin this new chapter for Gulf Gate School! 🐯
We are also looking forward to a fun-filled day celebrating our students and their academic growth during our Bucket Bash and Level Up celebrations on Tuesday, May 26. It is sure to be an exciting day for everyone!
