In an
effort to stretch funds as far as possible, the items were then categorized
into School Improvement Items or Capital Outlay items. (Tina Borres,
Bookkeeper, checked with the Landings to verify that SIP funds could be used
this way and they confirmed. Tina will also be meeting with Mrs. Dearing to
review the items requested.) If all items cannot be purchased, the staff will
prioritize items at a staff meeting
Others:
There
was a question raised at the meeting about stipend jobs and where the funds
came from. Stipends are provided by the District in the form of Flexible
Spending Dollars. They do not come out of School Improvement Dollars.
SAC
representatives are to go back to teams to address Literacy Day. If a class is
not using Bare books, the teacher must notify SAC rep as to what they are doing
in place of Bare books. There must be some written product to share on Literacy
Day in April.
The
committee will also be working with Mrs. Dearing to determine how stipend jobs
are assigned.
The
meeting was adjourned at 5:01 p.m.
