M I N U TES

Meeting called to order at 3:15 p.m.

Those in attendance: Jane O'Malley, Melissa Barnes, Susan Fairey, Dotti Rosenfield, Kris Martin, Cynthia McGrail, Lynn Nilssen, Ann Putnam, Marta Calabrese, Candace Dearing, Lorna Combs, Cheryl Farr, Kate O’Connell, and Sheri Paulsen.

Item 1:

The only item on today’s agenda was developing the Strategic Plan for Excellence for the years 2004-2008. The committee reviewed the goals from our last School Improvement Plan. We also reviewed the disaggregated data to see which goals we met. A formal statement was written to give to the school board. After the last SIP goals were reviewed and summarized, the committee began writing the new goals. It was agreed that of the four goals that were being written in the areas of reading, mathematics, technology and Safe and Orderly Schools, meeting at least 2 out of the 4 goals, would mean that success had been achieved. The final drafts for the goals were taken with Mrs. Dearing who will put them into correct form. The new Strategic Plan for Excellence will then be given to Team Leaders to address TPAs with team members.
