M I N U T E S

Sharon Lantheume called the meeting to order at 3:15. There were two items on the agenda: Capitol Outlay funds and Dress Code/School Uniforms.

Item 1

-Cynthia McGrail presented revised budget figures for technology needs: total = $4214.60

-Music dept. needs were presented to include; two drop microphones and a portable sound system: total = approx. $1250

-Reps. were asked to take back the approx. $4000 in remaining funds to the teams for input as to how that money should be spent.

- Consensus was reached in the approval of technology purchases to complete the mobile lab as presented by Cynthia McGrail. Consensus was also reached that more information is needed regarding the sound system. Ms. Lantheaume will invite Ms. Eible to our next meeting.

Item 2

-Dr.Cooley proposed that a timeline for the school dress code/uniform discussion be put into place to insure that information and discussion is delivered in a timely manner. A variety of projects pertaining to this subject were assigned to different SDMT/SAC committee members for research and outside information on the subject of school uniforms as outlined below:

December -discuss at SDMT/SAC Reps report #’s

-poll teams for pro/con decision regarding to C. Cooley by

uniforms 12/20

January -invite SAC from other schools to SAC meeting Jan. 27^th – Singer

Kris to invite L. Routh

Pam to invite Mr. Pekas

Dick to invite PTA Board

-send invitation and information letter to parents

-letter from principal and committee chair

-notify parents of meeting to discuss uniforms

-invite schools w/uniforms to attend for questions May need to move to Feb –

Pam Singer to invite

-create survey Kris and Dottie

-create informational & Q/A Sheet Kris

February -mail survey to parents

?? % for support?? 75% to 85% Kris and Dottie

If survey shows support for uniforms:

1. uniform committee

2. uniform fashion show

3. vote on uniforms

4. uniform “scholarships”
