SDMT/SAC MEETING
November18, 2002
Sharon
Lantheaume called the meeting to order.
The first
item on the agenda was capital outlay monies. The teams requests were discussed
and consensus was reached on school-wide needs to include; a head lice lamp for
the clinic and a new paper cutter for the A wing lounge. Three other items to be considered for
school-wide use include: improved sound
system, money to go to the purchase of play ground equipment for primary grades
and printers to be networked and kept in classrooms. We are awaiting pricing details before a final decision is
made.
The dress
code was the next agenda item discussed at length. At the last meeting, the idea of uniforms was brought up for
consideration. Pam Singer brought in research published by the National
Association of Elementary School Principals on the issue of school
uniforms. It was decided to form a
committee to determine if there was enough parent interest to pursue uniforms
next school year.
The meeting was adjourned by Sharon Lantheaume.
