PTSO/SAC Meeting December 10, 2002

Susan Lomas talked about legislative issues and platforms – would like to have Feb. SAC meeting in conjunction with the District meetings on legislation

Family Care Council – met at Oak Park – is a valuable resource – will plan additional meetings in the future and we will publish that information for parents and staff

Golf Tournament – scheduled May 10 – a committee will be formed – major fund raiser for PTSO – donations through merchants and class baskets

Uses of Capital Budget – discussion of the possible uses of monies and projects so that we could formulate priorities – projects identified and then prioritized:

1. playground – swings and outside volleyball court

2. covered playground (also requesting District funds)

3. porches over slabs behind the PRO wing

4. extended sidewalk by pool (other sidewalks were requested last spring and we are still waiting for completions)

5. extended cover to south bus loop (facilities feels that this project is expensive and only completed the north end because of the physical disabilities of many of the students boarding the buses) – this has been discussed in the past and was on a list of things not completed that would be desirable
