Welcome to the new member of SAC/SDMT (Lori Ann Kennelly).
Approval of the 11/10/05 minutes.
Tech update from Polly: Elmo’s are in, printers are in, speakers and projectors are not. NEC (Projector) met the county price. Portables and computers – 4th and 5th grade teachers will use the new wireless learning centers. For the next Princeton Review Test the District should have the cable problems solved that occurred during this training session. The purpose is to further the academic process.
By-laws (Page 3, Section 6) to add one classified we would need to add one non-school employee. No vote will be taken today. There are 42 classified employees. The bulk of the committee is academic goals (custodian, food service, assist. instructional – is all staff represented?). SAC/SDMT members – no less than 20 – no more than 30. In order to keep the 5 Star Rating we need to have 80% of the SAC/SDMT members attend 100% of the meetings. This issue will be re-addressed at the February meeting.
SCMT – Remaining A+ money
We are not slated to get a new lunchroom in the next 5-year plan because of cost overruns at Riverview. We have $3,400 left to spend from 2004-05. It was suggested that we use the money to improve the sound system in the lunchroom. How do we want the A+ money to be spent in the future? What will the new formula be for the distribution of the money? We will wait to hear from the Department of Education as to any process that they might have for the A+ money distribution.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:35 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for February 8, 2006.
