                              BUDGET:

Mrs. Coleman explained our budget.  We are holding money.  A literacy and data teacher is mandated.  The county has asked several schools to staff conservatively.  We are projected at 22 per class school-wide, which is the lowest ever.  Each team explained their plans for the money.

TEAM RECOMMENDATIONS:

Lisa Silva (Kindergarten) sees a need for ESOL      teacher/paraprofessional and an additional lunchroom/clerical aide.

Linda Knight  (1st Grade) sees a need to keep classes low and also for a counselor on our specials rotation.  A lunchroom/clerical aide with duties before and after lunch times was a suggestion.

Deborah Merkley (2nd Grade) sees a need to lower class sizes and a need for aide to help struggling kids who do not qualify for SLD.

Donna Weber  (3rd Grade) sees a need for lunchroom aide.

Marilyn Denlinger  (4th Grade) sees a need for a counselor on the specials rotation and to lower class size.

Khizran Usman (5th Grade) sees a need to use instructional aide for kids to bridge ability gap.

Marion Behrman (ESE) wants a full time behavioral specialist.  The request was made to have Kris Brown be the full-time behavioral specialist and have her ½ liaison responsibilities go to another person.  ESE aide to help speech therapist with 18 over optimal learning caseload.

Jennifer Yahraus (Specials) would like to up V-PAX to full-time teacher status and an aide for 2nd ILS lab.

Debbie Mrstik (Classified) would like a paraprofessional tech person and a clerical floating aide for lunchroom, office, etc.
