Decision Making Team Minutes

February 9, 2006

I.                             Minutes read and accepted.

Lisa Silva made the motion.  Marilyn Denlinger seconded the motion.

 

II.                              Mrs. Coleman is sending home a letter to all students regarding her retirement.

 

III.                            Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. there will be a Site Analysis meeting in the cafeteria regarding the selection of the new principal. 

 

IV.                           SIP

We are maintaining reading goals for 2006, math goals for 2006, writing goals for 2006, science goals for 2006, arts goals for 2006, technology goals for 2006, career preparation goals for 2006, citizenship goals for 2006, family and community add access to school facilities for 2006 and maintain the rest.

 

V.                             Jennifer Yahraus discussed SAC/SDMT funding teacher web sites at $25.00 a year per teacher.  The price is reduced with additional staff having web sites.  Also, she discussed purchasing projectors, whereas new schools already have this technology.

 

VI.                           The fall fundraiser from PTO will be used for the purchase of E-Books for I-Books to finish off the 3rd I-Book cart.  This has been put on hold at the county level.  Jan has written a letter explaining the source of the funds and the reasons for the funds to be released. 

 

There was a motion by Barbara Bornstein to conclude the meeting, which was seconded by Geoff Gibbs.

 

The next SAC/SDMT meeting is scheduled for March 16, 2005 in the media center at 3:15 p.m.
