Budget

The budget for the 2003/2004 school year for Booker Middle School will be $6,563,055.00.  Enrollment projections for last year were 1075.  Booker Middle School presently has 1150 students for this school year.  The enrollment projections for 2003/2004 school year have increased to 1225.  The referendum dollars gave us an extra $746,405.00 towards our budget this year.  That will give us 12 or 13 added teachers.  The budget for last year was $5,689,725.00; the amount for this year has increased by $1,011,520.  This will give us a chance to expand exploratory classes, add a 6th grade team and 7th grade team.  The county will be providing us with 6 portables for the extra students next year.  Mr. Weida will be forming a budget committee.  The budget committee will then report to SAC at the next meeting.   If you are interested in being on the budget committee let Susan Burns know at the end of the meeting.
