BOOKER MIDDLE SCHOOL

MEDIA CENTER

November 12, 2002

Susan Burns asked council to read the minutes.  Minutes were approved, Mimi Klein  motioned  Melissa deLisser seconded.   Mr. Green introduced Booker Middle School’s Teacher of the Year, Stephanie Lee.  Susan Burns explained that the balance of the budget as of November 12, 2002 is $8,652.89.

 

Business Item

CAP is requesting funds presented by Peggy Williams.  Request has been tabled to next meeting.  Melissa deLisser motioned, Fred Heid seconded.

 

Break Out Session

Committees will meet and talk about how we can more effectively get information out to community and parents.  Some of the questions that each committee needs to answer: How do we distribute information more effectively to parents?  How can we close the communication gap with parents? How can we get parents more involved?  The next SAC meeting each committee will have suggestions, comments and ideas.

 

Old Business

 

Next meeting discussion on revisions to the by-laws.

 

New Business

 

PTSA update:  Monday, November 18th from 7-8 in the Media Center will be a general PTSA meeting.  PTSA needs help with the golf tournament.  PTSA will do a update each SAC Meeting.
