| Yes? Then the Sarasota County Exceptional Student Advisory Council (ESAC) would like to invite you to become a Family Ambassador at your school! Our goal is to establish better communication between district families and the schools, and to promote training, education, and networking opportunities that are available in the district. We are seeking one key contact at each Sarasota County District School to act, as a Family Ambassador to disseminate information to your school’s families, and to provide feedback on parent’s training and educational needs. |

The responsibilities of a Family Ambassador are:

Disseminate information to your school’s population using your school’s systems of communication, keeping parents informed of training opportunities and community events. |

Assist in identifying appropriate training needs for parents, students and educators. |

Provide feedback to ESAC on a monthly basis regarding common needs of the ESE family at your school. |
 |
Attend ESAC meetings as desired or email feedback you would like presented to the ESAC. |

Estimated time commitment: Initial commitment of 10 hours to get the program established at the local campus, then between 3-5 hours per month to send out information.
